I am Sabha.Once, I was a filly in a stable filled with prances and neighs, laughter and love, in a land known for peace and kindness.I was never meant to be a storyteller.
But when the world around me broke apart, I became the last to neigh aloud, the last to speak.
The human who writes with me? His heart was there.
He lived through it and bled like the others, and he chose to remember.Together, we chant our poems and neigh for our land—where the Niles beautifully meet—its heritage, and the brightness of its future.
He gives me words.
I give them a heartbeat.
Like the Nile—sometimes a murmur, sometimes a flood.
That is how we heal.
That is how we mend each other.
And advocate through art.Our story is one of shared memory, where hooves and feet walk the same path.
A journey of wisdom.
Of teeth and tenderness.
Of love. And of defiance.
"I am not a metaphor. I am alive.
My story begins where the two Niles braid together, where the desert whispers to the trees.
Now, my hooves sink into ash. My home is salted by fire.
Chased, I scream. The wind carries the stink of hunters.
The birds have stopped singing. They left in flocks. The sky is choked with dark clouds.
Humans flee. I flee. In this we are the same. Or perhaps… we are kin?
My herd has scattered. And my beloved humans? Gone… or worse? I don’t know.
I do not understand war. But I know cruelty. I know fear. And I bolt.
But sometimes I lunge and bite. I kick and rear, slicing the air with my legs.
Just like my people.
And from time to time, I sniff the clay. I roll in the scorching sand.
I stomp the ground, because this land is mine."After losing her mother and her stable, Sabha, a young horse is forced into a world of fear and fire. As her companions start to disappear and the land turns to ruin, she must find the courage to keep moving.
Inspired by true events, Sabha The Survivor, The Hunt–The Chase is a lyrical, unforgettable tale of survival, resilience, and the wild heartbeat of hope."Walk with me.
It is not a journey I chose, but one I must survive."
